It was raining all weekend (except for the couples of hours of sun peeking through the clouds on Saturday)
I stayed home, cleaned the house, and worked on a new project. I’ll post a picture of it when it’s done. 🙂
So in short, no how-to today, and I’ll post some pages from my sketch book.

Bento #32: Where the wild things are (left side)

It took me forever to do this sketch… This wasn’t an original composition or anything. I tried to copy the existing drawing, and it still took a really long time. On top of that, I drew the wild things waaay too big. There were too many detailed parts I had to use seaweed for, so I had to draw their face on a separate paper to use it to cut seaweed.

Bento #33: Calvin & Hobbes

This one also took me a really long time to draw. I just couldn’t make Calivn & Hobbes look like them at all. The style is very unique and hard to copy, and I think also it was because their faces were facing to the right. (usually, it’s easier to draw a face facing to the left if you’re right handed) I should’ve done something on the croquette. (the bottom “ground” part)

Bento #34: Battlestar Galactica

Not too much going on in this drawing. I just had to simplify the Cylon head, to mold rice and cut the lines from seaweed. I didn’t plan anything special to fill the gap between food, thus the broccoli forest. T_T I regret being so lazy, but I especially liked how Cylon head came out. I should’ve also tried to make the corners look better.

Bento #35: Tingle

The drawing looks pretty scary now… Tingle standing with bunch of heads floating around him. I just didn’t think I could make a body for each Tingle, but I had to make sure that I had the face of each Tingle drawn for reference. I also drew the details on his belt and clock. The flowers were from his game, but I didn’t have the time to do it.
